Hi, I’m Nilda!

For nearly two decades, I thrived in the corporate world. But life guided me in a different direction — through divorce, motherhood, and years of reinvention — and along the way, I realized something that changed everything:

Many of the patterns keeping women stuck were never truly theirs to begin with.

They were inherited — from family, from culture, from generations of emotional programming passed down long before we had any say in it. Once I saw that clearly in my own life, I couldn’t unsee it. It became the thread running through everything I do now: helping women recognize what they’ve been carrying that was never theirs, so they can set it down and come home to who they really are.

My path here wasn’t linear. I’ve had a lifelong love affair with yoga, which led me to become a Yoga Instructor, a meditation teacher, and a Reiki Master Teacher. Over the past decade, that curiosity kept expanding — into crystal therapy, Akashic Records, animal healing, sacred geometry, chakra work, and energy healing more broadly. Each one became another lens for the same question: how does our inner world shape the outer one, and how do we return to alignment when we’ve drifted from it?

Today, all of that lives inside one thing: the Soul MAP Method™ — Mirror, Align, Presence. It’s the framework I use to guide women back to themselves, and it’s at the heart of everything inside Living Your Soul Purpose.

The Soul Map is where that process begins.

My story

I was born and raised in Mexico and spent my adult life in the United States. I now live in Texas with my family.

Ever since I was a little girl, I questioned tradition and what I was told. I just knew that some things did not make sense to me, so I had to figure things out for myself. I’ve always been that way, very independent, and sometimes that did not sit so well in a traditional, Catholic family.

When I had the opportunity to travel to the United States in 1990, just after turning 21, I went with it, and I started a new adventure in life.

Just a year after arriving, somebody handed me a book. The amazing thing is that it was the exact same book my mother had introduced to me years earlier when I was a teenager, when I was not receptive, and all I wanted to do was go out and have fun.

Years later, and thousands of miles away from home, someone handed me the exact same book.

That had to mean something… so I took it as a sign.

That little book changed my mind. It opened me to the concept that “we are spiritual beings having a human experience”, which back in 1991 was not a widespread idea, so it completely blew my mind. It opened all kinds of possibilities. It expanded my perception in ways I had never imagined. It changed my view of the world forever.

It’s like once you see what’s outside the box, you can’t go back inside anymore.

Ever since, my life has been about searching for my true identity. About peeling away the layers of what I was always told of how things should be, pursuing the question of “Who am I? What am I here to do?”

That journey led me to the work I do today.

Guiding people through that same process of uncovering the layers and finding true alignment with their soul’s calling, so they feel empowered to intentionally create a life that aligns with the calling of their heart.

We all have a different calling. And only we know what that is because we’re the only ones who can feel it. As Louise Hay would say, “we’re the only ones who live inside our own mind” and can hear our own hearts’ desires.

Sometimes we hear that voice inside, but we don’t pay attention to it.

We don’t recognize it as truth.

We think it’s just an idea or something that doesn’t really mean anything.

But when we take the time and give ourselves the space to explore where that voice is leading us, we can be amazed at the life we can create by aligning ourselves with our inner calling, with the voice of our soul.
